View the old Penknife project (Penknife Mk. I) on GitHub.

This page loads the compiled Penknife code from a file called "dist/demo-deps/penknife-compiled.js" in the repo directory. To use this page, you must obtain penknife-compiled.js in one of four ways:

• Install Node.js. From the repo directory, run the command "npm install" followed by the command "node build-era.js --build-penknife". This gives you the unminified version of the file.
• Install Node.js. From the repo directory, run the command "npm install" followed by the command "node build-era.js --build-penknife --minify". This gives you the minified version of the file.
• Modify penknife.html by uncommenting some lines that put the compiled string in a <textarea>. Then view that page, copy the string (which is currently over 500KB), and paste it into the proper file. This gives you the unminified version of the file.
• Check out the gh-pages branch, which contains the files automatically built by GitHub Actions. This gives you the minified version of the file.
